WHS PTSA meeting on April 15th, 7pm in the library. School Board Chairman Kathy Smith will be present to answer questions and discuss the current budget situation- I'm not sure where she'll be on the agenda as she has another school commitment; be prepared to ask questions and if you can't come, you can let me know what your question is and I can ask!
We've received teacher requests to fund academic materials and student related activities, with more in the pipeline. Funding Requests #1-8 were approved- with no one voting opposed. I'll have the vote count tomorrow as well as the new financial number for student programs- We will be putting the funds raised from the Practice SAT test into that "bucket" (approximately $1,000) so we will move forward with the requests approved so far and still have money for other requests.
We will also be going over our proposed By Laws and presenting the proposed Executive Board slate for President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer, and Secretary. - Jennifer Campbell, President, Mary Coleman, 1st VP, Marjorie Willard,. 2nd VP, and Kim Gilbert Secretary. We are still looking for a treasurer if you have any leads. Please confirm that you'll be in your committee slot (or not) for this coming year. Now is the time to fill open slots and to get the info out to feeder schools and in our newsletter.
